During the summer months Kim and Ezzy will be providing lunch Tuesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday (brunch) and dinner Tuesday and Friday nights.

There is a long list of club improvements to be completed over the summer including

We have received several complaints in recent weeks about unsupervised kids climbing all over the started boats and generally disturbing other members with their loud frolicking about the club.  Please remember the club is not a depository for your kids, nor does it provide a baby sitting service.  This situation tends to occur after sailing lessons and other youth activities. when no supervision exists.  Club staff will be instructed to contact parents of unruly kids and restrict them from the club if their parents refuse to provide normal supervision.

The Race committee is bringing  "fun" back to St. Thomas Yacht Club  racing events.  Please join in on the festivities for both races.  If you are a sailor, get out and race - if you are a sailing supporter/spectator, come join the fun after the races! 

Pillsbury Sound Race - June 10th BBQ following the race!  Captain's Meeting Friday night June 8th.

Lady Tristam Race - July 1st, BBQ and Live Music following the race.! Captains Meeting Friday night June 29th.

The Friday night series is a huge success so far.  All six boats have participated every Friday and a seventh is on the way for modification and inclusion into the fleet.  Everyone who has signed up to race on Friday by 5:00 p.m. at the Bar has been able to "crew" on one of the boats.
Please take advantage of this free and open opportunity to sign on as a crew member every Friday night this month and next.  Crew assignments will continue to be on a first come, first served basis except that those who have not gone out yet will get bumped to the top of the list. 
All IC 24 owners are generously providing at least one crew slot every Friday throughout the series so come on out, compete and have some fun. Race on one of the exciting modified J 24's soon!

IC-24 Steering Committee Notice to all members: Paul Stoeken will be offering a series of beginner, intermediate and advanced sailing lessons on the new IC- 24 starting late June.  Please check the club bulletin board for more details."

STYC Raft Up July 4th - rendezvous at Hans Llolick.  BBQ etc. bring your own everything, meet at 1300. Join in on the fun !

NOTICE TO ALL YACHT CLUB MEMBERS - VERY IMPORTANT

As I’m sure many of you have heard by now, the St. Thomas Yacht Club was robbed of the bank deposit on May 30^th.

Over half of the monies missing were checks, of which most were for mooring fees, dues payments, etc. We have a very thorough list of members and check #’s. Please see the list below and see if you are included. If so please contact Nancy immediately.

Unfortunately, we do not have a list of those who wrote checks at the bar for chits, dinners, etc. from April 28^th thru May 22^nd. Please, take a look at your checkbook register and see if you wrote a check to the Yacht Club during this time period. We are depending upon your honesty to help rectify a dishonest situation.

Please note that all checks were stamped "For Deposit Only" to the STYC operating account, rendering them worthless to the thief.

We greatly regret that this has occurred and all possible is being done to prevent an occurrence of this sort again.

A NUMBER OF BOAT OWNERS HAVE SUGGESTED THAT WE TRY TO OBTAIN INSURANCE COVERAGE FOR MEMBERS VESSELS BY CREATING A CLUB POLICY, IT IS HOPED THAT AS A GROUP WE WILL SECURE BETTER PREMIUMS.  FOR THIS TO HAPPEN WE NEED PARTICIPATION BY AS MANY MEMBERS AS POSSIBLE.  EACH OWNER NEEDS TO COMPLETE AN APPLICATION FORM WHICH CAN BE OBTAINED BY CONTACTING:
