VEUVE CLICQUOT WOMEN'S REGATTA
NOVEMBER 15 - 18, 2001
Louri Lynn Throgmorton and Summer Westman
Final
plans are underway for the 15th annual VCP Women's Regatta. This
year's regatta will take on a new format. For the first time,
the Regatta will be a multi-class event, with women competing
in (thus far) Sunfish, Aqua Fins, Lasers and Wayfarers.
We have invited, and are hoping, that our new IC-24 fleet will
also be participating in their own class. Their involvement would
bring a different level of sailing to the Regatta and would allow
additional women to participate.
Registration information will be mailed out this week. If you
would like registration information please contact Sue Cilliers
suecilliers@yahoo.com.
Many sailors will be coming from St. Croix, the BVI and St. John.
If you have room in your home to assist a sailor with housing,
please contact Laura Jamison at jamison@viaccess.net.
This years entertainment will be Dick
Solberg and The Sun Mountain Band, and all activities at the
Yacht Club are open to the public. Sunday's awards brunch will
be held at the Ritz
Carlton, St Thomas at 2:00pm. Past Regatta Directors will
be honored at the brunch awards ceremony along with all of the
regatta winners.
If you are interesting in participating in any way please contact
